Cultivating park stewardship in communities across the country

The National Park Foundation, together with our partners, supports an expansive network of national and local non-profit organizations, volunteer groups, and service corps dedicated to critical preservation and restoration projects across the country.

Our national parks provide a strong foundation for building community and cultivating stewardship. The National Park Foundation (NPF)'s Communities & Workforce programming helps strengthen the local ties to our parks and fill vital needs. We’re actively striving to grow a network of partners, as well as inspire a new, diverse generation of outdoor leaders. By strengthening the park partner community across the country, we can create positive change in the parks that are closer to home.

From service corps crews that preserve historical sites, restore trails, and remove invasive species in parks, to strengthening the park community and collaborative efforts, to providing internship opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds and interests, NPF’s Communities & Workforce programs highlight the power of teamwork and collective dedication to preserve our nation’s most treasured places. Our communities are full of groups and individuals who roll up their sleeves to support our parks. By engaging with NPF’s Communities & Workforce programs, you play a role in this collective dedication to preserve our nation’s most treasured places.
