America’s national parks were established through the efforts of private citizens who wanted to protect the places they loved – places they knew would matter long into the future.
Today, the National Park Foundation carries on that noble tradition as the only national charitable organization directly supporting America’s national parks. Generous gifts to the National Park Foundation help protect our national treasures, enhance the visitor experience, and connect people to places of incredible beauty and historic importance. And there are many ways to support this vital work.

Support our national parks by becoming a monthly donor. Your monthly support will help the National Park Foundation fund mission-critical projects and you'll be giving in an environmentally friendly manner, helping to conserve printed resources and reduce the Foundation's postage expense.
There are two ways to make a gift to our national parks in memory of someone special or to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, wedding or holiday. You can make a single gift through our donation page and send an electronic or mailed card to notify the honoree, or you can create your own personalized donation page to collect and manage many donations all in one place for an extended amount of time.
Donor Advised Funds
You can support the parks by directing gifts to the National Park Foundation through your donor-advised fund. The DAFDirect widget will link your DAF from Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon.
You can maximize the impact your donation has on critical national park efforts when you take advantage of employer matching gift programs or sign up for workplace giving.
The National Park Foundation Champions Society members make a powerful difference in preserving and protecting the 400+ national parks, monuments, and historic sites across the United States. Your annual gift of $1,000 or more directly supports these magnificent spaces and makes you eligible for certain benefits.

Gift of Stock
Donating appreciated securities is a wonderful way to help support the National Park Foundation. It is the Foundation’s policy to sell the stock or security and put the proceeds right to work for our parks. Per the IRS, the Foundation establishes the value of the stock by calculating the mean average price on the date ownership is transferred. Many donors also choose to calculate their tax deduction this way using a receipt from NPF that notes the name and number of shares, the date they were received into NPF’s account, and the high and low values per share on the date the securities were transferred.
Before making a gift of securities, please make sure to discuss your particular situation, including tax benefits, with your financial advisor. Please contact the Foundation at (888) GOPARKS (888-467-2757) or [email protected] for instructions on securities transfers.
Please note: the Foundation does not receive donor information along with your gift of securities. It is important that you notify the National Park Foundation in advance of any transfer using this form so that you will be credited for your gift.
Fundraise Your Way
Create your own personalized fundraising webpage to collect donations to support NPF's mission and share your park story! Whether it is a hike, a community event, a personal milestone, or something just for fun you can make a big impact on our national parks by creating your own fundraiser.
Donate Cryptocurrency
You can donate cryptocurrency to support the mission of the National Park Foundation. Similar to donating appreciated securities, it is the Foundation’s policy to sell cryptocurrency and put it to work, protecting and preserving our national parks.
Support the National Park Foundation while shopping for your favorite gear and accessories! Shop the Find Your Park Store to show your love for the parks with gear and accessories for your next adventure.
Seed the future of national parks. Impact giving creates a solid financial foundation for the fulfillment of NPF’s mission. These significant gifts may be designated for a specific purpose, such as landscape and wildlife conservation, inspiring the next generation of park stewards, or telling the story of America. It is also possible to make an impact gift that provides maximum flexibility for NPF to realize the most urgent needs of the parks.
Through impact giving, NPF donors can transform our national parks and realize “I did that!” moments. These experiences often have a cascading effect that inspires the next generation to participate in giving; thus, passing along a family value of philanthropy. Let’s talk about your philanthropic goals.
Please contact Valerie Kind, SVP for Major Giving and Foundation Relations, at [email protected] or Steve Grourke, SVP for Leadership Giving at [email protected] to discuss how you can maximize your impact in national parks: for today, tomorrow, and for the future well-being of our treasured lands.
