My ultimate goal is to get land protected by the full weight of the National Park Service - meaning that it is protected forever. Lands conserved by NPS operate at the rate of giant sequoias growing, of glaciers moving over a plain, of historic monuments gaining a patina. I'm drawn to this slower pace, to protecting old important things, and to a deeper connection with our landscapes and cultural legacies." -
