
Joseph P. Landy has been involved in the private equity industry since 1985 when he joined Warburg Pincus LLC. During his 35 year tenure at Warburg Pincus, Mr. Landy was jointly responsible for the management of the firm for over 20 years as co-chief executive officer and co-managing general partner. In this capacity, Mr. Landy migrated Warburg Pincus and its culture, from essentially a tightly held and founder controlled investment partnership to one of the world’s premier and most respected global private equity firms. He formulated strategy, oversaw investment policy and investment decision making, oversaw its global expansion, established and led the firm’s Executive Management Group and raised $85 billion across 12 limited partner funds. Mr. Landy also remained active as an investor and deal partner throughout his career investing in a broad array of businesses principally in the growth areas of software and information technology, semiconductor technology and communications applications.
Mr. Landy is an independent member of the Board of Directors of Partners Group Holding AG. He is also on the board of trustees of New York University, serving as Chair of the Investment Committee, and several privately held companies. Mr. Landy holds a B.S. degree in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from The Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
