Al Baldwin, Chairman of the Board of Baldwin & Sons, is a distinguished figure in the real estate development and home building industry, boasting a remarkable career spanning over 67 years. His enduring commitment to excellence has seen the construction of over 23,000 homes, apartments, hotels and retail space establishing Baldwin & Sons as a prominent force in the field.

Leading alongside his three sons and son-in-law, Al oversees a portfolio of successful companies, including Pacific Coast Communities, Heritage Building & Development, Sunrise Company and Baldwin New Homes. Notably, Otay Ranch in San Diego and in Orange County is set to encompass 4200 additional homes, apartments, hotels and retail space. These communities have not only garnered public acclaim but have also received prestigious awards and recognition within the professional community. Showcasing the family's dedication to shaping vibrant communities.

Beyond his contributions to the real estate sector, Al Baldwin is deeply engaged in community service. He was recently honored by the Bishop at the OC Catholic Foundation’s Business and Ethics Conference, also served on numerous boards and charitable foundations, holding key positions such as Chairman and Board Member of Futures for Children, Treasurer and Board Member for the Orange County Performing Arts Center, and President of the City of Hope Construction Industry Alliance. Al was also a partner in the San Diego Padres and has been a steadfast member of the board for the Stars and Stripes Fishing, Golf, and Music Festival for an impressive 26 years. Currently, he serves on the National Park Foundation board and holds the esteemed position of Chairman of the Centennial Campaign.

Al Baldwin's commitment to philanthropy has been recognized through various awards, including the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Los Angeles County Boy Scouts of America, the Spirit of Life Award from the Construction Industry Alliance City of Hope, and the National Human Relations Award from the American Jewish Committee. The Anti-Defamation League also honored him with the Distinguished Community Service Award, and he received the Legend Award from the National Association of Homebuilders.

Among his more recent accolades, Al was named the City of Chula Vista’s Man of the Year, and the Orange County Business Journal bestowed upon Baldwin & Sons the Family Owned Business Award.

Despite his numerous professional achievements, Al Baldwin humbly considers his family his proudest accomplishment. Married and dedicated to both his personal and professional pursuits, Al Baldwin continues to leave an indelible mark on the real estate industry and the communities he serves.
