Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument

Located around the corner from the U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court, Belmont-Paul was the home of the National Women's Party.

Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument was designated on April 12, 2016 by President Barack Obama. This historic home has served as headquarters of the National Woman's Party since 1929 and was epicenter of the struggle for women's suffrage and women's rights. Alice Paul and the National Woman's Party were integral in helping secure passage of the 19th Amendment.
