Making it Easier for People to Visit Arches National Park

Lines of traffic at Arches National Park
The National Park Foundation and Transportation Scholars enhanced visitor experience at Arches National Park via a greenhouse-gas reducing shuttle system.

A 2011 Transportation Scholar helped develop a pilot public shuttle system to enhance the visitor experience at Arches National Park by providing visitors more information to make destination choices, improved transportation options for visiting the park, better information on what to expect when visiting, increased contact and education opportunities with park personnel, and increased safety when travelling in the park.

The pilot shuttle system in Arches and the gateway community of Moab reduces greenhouse gases and the negative impacts of parking congestion.
