National Park Tract and Land Preservation
In the past fifty years, the NPF has helped conserve over 25,000 acres of private land through partnerships with NPS, private donors, landowners, and non-profit organizations. Thanks to generous donations from private philanthropists, NPF has helped to conserve over 1,400 acres within the last year at Acadia National National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and Colorado National Monument. We have identified the following list of high priority projects that feature outstanding ecological, cultural, historic, and recreational values that define our National Parks. Current opportunities ready for investment include Gauley River National Recreation Area (WV), Blue Ridge Parkway ' Bear Den Overlook (NC), Nez Perce National Historical Park (ID), City of Rocks National Reserve (ID), Appalachian Trail ' Western Maine High Peaks (ME), and Lewis and Clark National Historical Park (OR).
