Inspiring Teachers with Climate Change Training

Parks Climate Challenge program taught teachers about climate change in a video and seminar.

Working with the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, the park delivered climate change education training to local teachers as part of the Parks Climate Challenge program. The park also developed a video that demonstrates how to conduct one of the curricular activities created to demonstrate the impact of climate change at the park.

After a successful run, the climate change teacher training was incorporated into the Summer Science Teacher Institute, a five-day workshop for science teachers. The program was funded with help from PG&E.
