NPF supports Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Parks' efforts to engage residents who lack park access in healthy outdoor activities.

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park already provided opportunities to bike, kayak, canoe and hike while learning about the park's history and resources. Yet participants were not diverse and many population groups had little access to transportation.

So, with the help of the City of Chattanooga, Glass House Collective, and the Chattanooga Hamilton County Health Department, the park engaged residents of East Chattanooga who normally aren't able to access the park's resources, in a variety of healthy outdoor activities.
