Connecting Native Americans to George Washington Carver

George Washington Carver National Monument increased park diversity by creating the Engaging Native American Youth Partnership.

The Engaging Native American Youth Partnership was created to help the park diversify its visitor base and connect with local communities. This initiative gathered input from Native American leaders and youth on how the park could attract and be more relevant to Native American visitors. It was supported by the park's key partner -- the Social and Economic Sciences Research Center, a Cooperative Study Unit at Washington State University.
