Supporting Your Parks Twitter Chat

Rocío LowerNPF Blog

In honor of National Volunteer Week (April 10-16, 2016) and National Park Week (April 16-24, 2016), the National Park Foundation hosted a Twitter chat about supporting national parks. The chat’s theme allowed us to feature great resources from panelists at the National Park Service and Department of the Interior, as well as some of the incredible work being done by our partners at the Student Conservation Association and American Express.

Just in time for the chat, we were thrilled to showcase the special hashtag emoji created by Twitter in celebration of National Park Week! Whenever Twitter users used #FindYourPark or #EncuentraTuParque, a special park ranger emoji appeared next to the hashtags. The feature was an exciting addition to what turned out to be a vibrant conversation about supporting America’s national treasures.

A very special thank you to everybody who joined the Twitter chat! We hope you’re all able to get out there and explore your national parks. And when you do, be sure to share them with us online using #FindYourPark and #EncuentraTuParque!
