See America’s National Parks On Travel Channel!

May 16, 2013NPF Blog

Starting this month, park lovers can learn more about America’s most popular monuments on Travel Channel’s new original series “Monumental Mysteries.”  Every Thursday at 9/8C, host Don Wildman uncovers some of America’s most intriguing events, greatest triumphs, well-known disasters, and even some notorious crimes that are linked to American monuments.

“Monumental Mysteries” scours the United States for the nation’s history-rich monuments and unveils tales that are unknown to many Americans.  In each episode, Wildman uncovers these amazing stories behind monuments and memorials across the park system including General Grant National Memorial, Alcatraz, Mount Rainier National Park, Ford’s Theatre and more.  These fascinating stories include why New York’s Ellis Island served as a beacon of hope for the world-famous Von Trapp family.

Joshua Tree

A passionate national park enthusiast, Wildman’s favorite national parks include Yosemite, Grand Canyon and Joshua Tree.
