The 100th year of the National Park Service is officially underway! And in honor of the centennial, the National Park Service and National Park Foundation are looking for videos showcasing the unique ways you #FindYourPark.

The “Find Your Park: Press Play” contest invites videographers of all levels to share how they explore the natural, cultural, and historical beauty within the national parks.

Together with Mashable and YouTuber Jess Lizama, we’re searching for videos that stand out and showcase interesting activities and stories across the National Park System.

What are we looking for? The key word is: unique.

Think distinct views, exciting hobbies, fascinating experiences, and lesser-known national parks. Think hidden gems and less-traveled trails.

Here’s how you can enter:

  • Go explore a national park (there’s one closer than you think)!
  • Record the unexpected ways you find your park.
  • Upload the video to your YouTube channel and include #FindYourPark and #Contest in the video description.
  • Head to and submit the video link on the contest entry form (be sure to click the contest opt-in box!).

The contest ends on March 4, 2016, at 6 p.m. EST, so be sure to give yourself enough time to get out and explore, film, edit, and share your submissions before the deadline! We’ll evaluate submissions based on relevance to the Find Your Park movement, originality, uniqueness, and overall impression.

So what are you waiting for? Get up, get out there, and #FindYourPark! O mejor dicho: #EncuentraTuParque!
