Here you have ‘em, folks: 16 days in 2016 have been announced as fee-free days in your national parks! Grab your planner, open your calendar app, and mark these dates with a special designation – we hope you’ll join us out in national parks for these holidays and special occasions.

2016 Free Admission Days

You may or may not have heard, but 2016 is a big year for the parks – the National Park Service celebrates its centennial. This is cause for a grand celebration, one that’s worthy of ushering in the next 100 years of the National Park Service!

Here is a list of your free admission days for 2016!

  • January 18: Martin Luther King Jr Day
  • April 16-24: National Park Week
  • August 25-28: National Park Service Birthday Weekend
  • September 24: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day

We want to see you out enjoying the more than 400 national parks across the system. There are natural, cultural, and historical gems to choose from. And with so many options, you’re bound to find a park that speaks to your interests and passions! All you have to do is explore as many as possible, and find your park.
