(Washington, D.C.) – Today, the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, launches its Countdown to Christmas sweepstakes. From December 20 through December 25, the National Park Foundation will be celebrating the holiday season by giving away exciting prizes to three lucky entrants daily. By going to the National Park Foundation Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/nationalpark), visitors can enter to win one of eighteen National Park Foundation prize packs.
Every day between now and Christmas a new national park prize pack will be awarded. Entrants are encouraged to enter once daily for the duration of the sweepstakes. Some of the exciting prizes to be given away include the “America the Beautiful” park pass, GPS units, cameras, and active wear. For easy reference, the prize packs will be listed on the National Park Foundation Facebook site daily. For full sweepstake rules and description of prizes, go to the National Park Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/nationalpark).
In addition, this holiday season, the National Park Foundation invites park supporters to ‘Give the Gift of America’s National Parks’ this holiday season. As an added bonus, donations to the National Park Foundation between now and December 31st will be doubled – adding even more value to the perfect holiday gift! By visiting www.nationalparks.org, supporters can make a donation to the National Park Foundation on behalf of loved ones and receive a special printable certificate to include in a stocking or under the Christmas tree. Each supporter will have the satisfaction of knowing that their gift to NPF, the only national charity that directly supports the national parks, will make a difference in preserving America’s treasured places.
