Washington, D.C., (March 28, 2013) -- The National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, announced the appointment of Ambassador Elizabeth Frawley Bagley to its Board of Directors. The appointment was made by National Park Foundation Board Chair, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. Ambassador Bagley will join the Board of Directors in providing valuable guidance and direction as the Foundation continues its mission to support and enrich America’s nearly 400 national parks and their programs.

Ambassador Elizabeth Frawley Bagley currently serves as Chair of SBI, Inc., a rural wireless company located in Show Low, Arizona, in addition to her role as the Senior Advisor for Special Initiatives to the Secretary of State. Prior to this appointment, Ambassador Bagley served as Vice Chair of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy (2003-2009), Senior Advisor to Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (1997-2001), and U.S. Ambassador to Portugal (1994-1997).
Ambassador Bagley graduated cum laude from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, with a B.A. in French and Spanish. She is also a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, where she obtained a J.D. in International Law.
