King Laughlin is currently focused on principal giving ($1 million+) at the National Park Foundation but has worked in other fundraising and operational capacities during his 12 years at NPF including major giving, planned giving, and special projects. He began at NPF as director for the Flight 93 National Memorial, a $45 million national capital campaign to build a memorial to 9/11 in Shanksville, PA. Prior to NPF, Laughlin worked as the campaign director for the Army Historical Foundation, fundraising for the $200 million National Museum of the United States Army. Laughlin started out in fundraising at George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens, the nation’s most visited historic home, as a development director for a $100 million capital, education, and endowment campaign.
