Nicole Engdahl joined the Foundation in 2015 to establish its formalized planned giving department. Today, Engdahl leads the Planned and Annual Giving (PAG) team which includes three fundraising programs under one umbrella: direct response, midlevel giving, and estate giving. Together, this team works to build a strong pipeline of donors who ensure consistent funding for the national parks, both today and in the future.

With more than 25 years of fundraising experience, Engdahl has honed her skills in nonprofit fundraising with both national and international organizations including Special Olympics, the National Geographic Society, St. Olaf College, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. While her background includes a wide variety of types of fundraising, Engdahl’s expertise lies in donor relationship building with an emphasis on planned gifts and marketing.

Engdahl is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® and active with the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners as a member of both the National Board of Directors and Speaker’s Bureau. She is also a past board member of the National Capital Gift Planning Council.

Engdahl is a proud Midwesterner having earned a master’s degree in organizational communication from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in communication and French from Luther College. She currently lives in Washington, D.C.
