As the controller, Kris and her team are responsible for delivering the financial condition of the National Park Foundation through the issuance of audited financial statements, Form 990 filings, annual reports, and other reporting outlets. She serves as an expert advisor to senior leadership, ensuring forward-looking financial planning as well as daily management of accounting and finance functions.

Kris joined the Foundation in 2019 and has over 25 years of extensive global experience spanning across various industries, working for companies ranging from the Fortune 500 to new business ventures. Some of her accomplishments include playing a critical role on several major mergers and acquisition deals, implementing company-wide SOX testing program, tackling complex accounting transactions, and streamlining operations for quality and effectiveness.

Kris is a graduate of Virginia Tech, a CPA, and a member of the AICPA and GWSCPA. When she’s not helping to protect and enhance the national parks, Kris enjoys spending time with her family in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
