Summer's Scrapbook

Mesa Verde National Park

This was taken 10 years ago this May. My husband and I drove across country from Alabama, camping and seeing the sights. We had a general idea of where we were going but not exactly. Every day we would look at the map and decide where we would go next. We had just driven from New Mexico and wanted to see some Cliff Dwellings. Mesa Verde fitted this description very well! This was a trip of a lifetime! We spent a month camping, hiking, driving and exploring our western states and LOVED every minute of it! We plan on taking our children (7 and 4) back to the amazing spots we visited soon. We had just spent a year working almost non-stop (him) and studying non-stop (me) so we were not sure how we would get along. Not one fight or argument, it was the BEST trip and set up our marriage in an amazing way (we had been married 3 years). This picture represents our past and future coming together.
