2014 National Park Resolutions

To visit 10 Parks. To hike 3 new parts of the Applacian Trail and C&O Canal.
To over come my fear of heights and do a king swing!

Our family will go to Yosemite Park in May. We first went camping in the 1970s with our immediate family of eight. I began having us go again in 1990 as our family was more spread out wnd we were not together as a family. We have gone every other year since. Depending on school schedules we now have between 14 and 18. We stay at Yosemite Lodge and at Wawona.
Hike a few miles on the Appalachian trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, and take my grandson to get his Junior Ranger badge.

I will visit at least 1 urban and 1 rural national park in 2014.

We are going to make a family road trip from Los Angeles to Yellowstone this Spring. Our 4 year old son is a junior ranger at parks all over the west, we need to add Yellowstone to his list this year!

Climb or crawl all the way to the top of Halfdome in Yosemite Valley. I've done this trip before compleating the round trip as a young man in less than 12 hours. Now at the age of 62, I'll try it again sometime in May/June.

My resolution is to get in shape so I can go backpacking with my friend in either Yellowstone, Glacier or one of the other GREAT National Parks in this country!

To become a member of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.

My husband, brother & I are going to hike and camp in Yosemite National Park this April!! We are so excited!!!!
