WASHINGTON, DC – Online voting starts today in the “Your Parks Video Challenge” presented by the National Park Foundation and Olympus. Park lovers from across the country have submitted their most creative, moving, and awe-inspiring videos about America’s national parks, and now the winner and 10 runners-up will be determined by you!

Vote now at www.YourParks.com until September 22nd. Together with the National Park Foundation and Olympus, fans online will crown one winning video and 10 runners-up. Winners will be announced the week of September 28th, as Americans tune in to premiere of the highly anticipated Ken Burns documentary series “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea” on PBS.

The grand prize winner will receive an exclusive, all-expense paid trip for two to the national park of his/her choice, the recently released Olympus PEN camera kit, and a Federal Recreation Lands Pass – good for free entry into any one of the 391 National Park Service units. Runners-up will also receive a Federal Recreation Lands Pass as well as an Olympus Stylus Tough-8000 digital camera. In addition, winners will receive gift cards for outdoor footwear and apparel from Merrell.

The “Your Parks Video Challenge” launched earlier this summer challenging park enthusiasts everywhere to record their adventures to America’s National parks explain what the parks mean to them. Why are they important? Why should we protect them? With video entries now representing national parks across the country, and showcasing the talents and creativity of park lovers everywhere, it will be up to fans online to decide the winner.

Your Parks complements the Share the Experience photo contest, sponsored by Olympus, seeking this year’s best photo of the National Parks.
