Legacy Project: Chimney Tops Trail
Chimney Tops Trail, one of the most popular trails in the Smokies, offers hikers spectacular views. However, the trail is steep and receives 80+ inches of rain each year resulting in extreme erosion and leads to dangerous hiking conditions. This project supports the second phase of a three-year technical trail reconstruction effort to rebuild and create a more sustainable operation for this popular park experience.
