Legacy Project: Conservation Corps
Creating the Glacier Conservation Corps provides the perfect opportunity to address three priority areas with a single effort: engaging youth in worthwhile employment, helping build their resumes, and creating lifelong conservationists. Glacier Conservation Corps will allow the park to better maintain trails and historic structures. Finally, the creation of the Corps will further citizen science by fulfilling important research objectives through the keen observational work of six individuals working in the field all summer. This project will build a powerful, engaging youth program that greatly benefits its participants and the park.
