Legacy Project: Peddocks Island Trails
In 2013, Peddocks Island is poised to become the next major attraction on the Boston Harbor Islands. As it becomes more and more popular and visitor numbers increase exponentially, there is an urgent need for a basic set of hiking trails with signage and waysides. Park visitation increased 22% in 2012 and with the opening of new camping facilities, amenities and food services that will only grow further. These trails will provide critical infrastructure and access to the island greatly increasing the visitor experience.
