Hey Kids! National parks are great places to explore nature, discover exciting animals and plants, and have fun in the outdoors. Our national parks need everyone’s help to remain America’s most special places – including yours!
The winners of the 2009 Junior Ranger Essay Contest have been selected and notified. An announcement of the winners is coming soon. Thank you to everyone who participated in this special contest!
The First Prize winner will win a $1,000 Visa gift card and the opportunity to direct a $5,000 contribution from the National Park Foundation to his or her favorite national park. The funds will be used by the park to put into action big ideas like those included in the winning essay. The top three essays will be featured in the Junior Ranger Gazette and on the National Park Foundation website!
