Junior Ranger Essay Contest!

Hey Kids! National parks are great places to explore nature, discover exciting animals and plants, and have fun in the outdoors. Our national parks need everyone’s help to remain America’s most special places – including yours!

In the 2009 Essay Contest, Skyler Baldwin of San Diego, CA won first prize and received a $1,000 Visa gift card and the opportunity to direct a $5,000 contribution from the National Park Foundation to her favorite national park, Yosemite. All winning essays are featured in the Junior Ranger Gazette and this website! The 2009 Essay Contest was sponsored by Unilever, a Proud Partner of America’s National Parks.

The 2010 Junior Ranger Essay Contest will begin on February 1, 2010, Check back here in February for more details!
