I recently drove from Indiana to Georgia with my four sons, aged 3 through 11. On the way home, we changed our route to drive through Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Though we had only a few hours to spend, it was the highlight of our journey back! At the halfway point of Newfound Gap Road, the younger two boys bounded out to look, climb, and exclaim at the beauty of the mountains as the sun was setting. They ran back to tell their older brothers, "You've got to see this!" We stayed on top of the mountain until the first stars appeared in the sky, then drove down filled with wonder.
