Visited Lincoln Home National Historic Site on June 28, 2008

Upon returning home today from a vacation in Central Illinois, it was perfect timing to see an email from the National Park Foundation as our family visited the Lincoln Home National Historic Site just this morning. I was surprised to learn that out of approximately 400 National Parks, it is the only one in Illinois. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, providing excellent details regarding the life of President Lincoln. I learned more about him during a couple of hours than I had known previously....even our 6- and 8-year old children were interested....at least for most of the visit. Keep up the great work!
