Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument
Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, located on the Colorado Plateau in northwestern Arizona, is jointly managed by the National Park Service (NPS) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Established by Presidential Proclamation on January 11, 2000, the monument is located in an extremely remote and undeveloped area bordering Grand Canyon National Park to the south, Nevada to the west, and bounded by the Bureau of Land Management Arizona Strip region on the east and north. Although there are no paved roads into the monument those who venture into its isolated domain will experience a unique sense of solitude and an impressive and diverse landscape.
