NPF Annoucnes Matthew Boyer as Director of Major Gifts
Neil Mulholland, President and CEO of the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, today announced that Matthew Boyer has joined the Foundation in the role of Director of Major Gifts. In this role, Boyer will continue to build upon the Foundation’s current national gifts program and work to strategically expand major gifts and develop a new donor portfolio, working collaboratively with the leadership of the Foundation. Boyer will be based at the Foundation headquarters in Washington, D.C. and will report to Lauren Harnishfeger, VP of Development.
“We are honored to have Matthew join the Foundation,” said Neil Mulholland, President and CEO of the National Park Foundation. “His 20 years of fundraising experience and wealth of knowledge will most certainly prove invaluable as we continue on our mission to raise money for grants and programs that strengthen the connection between all Americans and their national parks.”
Boyer comes to the Foundation with 20 years of fundraising experience working for environmental and social justice organizations including the World Wildlife Fund, National Parks Conservation Association, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Human Rights Campaign and most recently PFLAG National where he served as the National Director of Development.
In his role at the Human Rights Campaign, Boyer cultivated the West Coast major donor program and was directly accountable for raising more than $1.5 million in annual revenue by soliciting individual gifts. At PFLAG National, he was responsible for raising the majority of the organization’s $3.6 million annual budget through individual and corporate giving. In addition, Boyer launched PFLAG’s national events program.
