Hard Rock Cafe Cracks It Up For Flight 93 National Memorial
Hard Rock Cafés in Boston, Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Washington D.C. Raise Money To Honor The Heroes of United 93 and 9/11
Orlando, Fla., July 12, 2010 – This month, select Hard Rock Cafe locations around the country will “Crank It Up” to raise funds for the Flight 93 National Memorial honoring the heroes of United Flight 93 and 9/11. Now through August 1st guests of Hard Rock Cafes in Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Washington D.C. will be encouraged to round up their bill to the nearest dollar amount or add a donation to their bill to benefit the building of the National Memorial under construction at the site of the United Flight 93 crash of September 11, 2001 in Shanksville, PA.
The Flight 93 National Memorial, which is scheduled to dedicate phase one of the project on September 11, 2011, is the only dedicated national parkland that will tell the story of the events of 9/11. The building of the memorial is a public-private partnership that will encompass 2,200 acres of rehabilitated coal mining landscape and will serve as the final resting place of the 40 Fallen Heroes of Flight 93. The Flight 93 National Memorial Campaign is working to preserve the courageous story of the passengers and crewmembers of Flight 93; and protect the place near Shanksville, PA, where their hijacked plane crashed on September 11, 2001.
