In this month’s GoParks we show you how nature photography changes lives.

Nature Photography Changes Lives:

Beginning in March 2010, 26 teenage boys at Northwest Passage, a residential treatment center for troubled teens in Spooner, Wis., embarked on “In a New Light,” a six-month photographic journey of discovery, hope and healing on the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a unit of the National Park System.

Each month, the National Park Foundation’s e-newsletter GoParks offers up real-time news from inside America’s amazing national parks. Subscribers stay up to date on upcoming events nationwide, recent grants, new partnerships, educational programs as well as insider tips on where to go and what to do in the 393 national park units nationwide.

GoParks also features seasonal suggestions, contests and promotions. Joining our GoParks community is a great way to connect with your national parks.  Visit www.nationalparks.org/connect to subscribe.  Previous issues of GoParks are available at www.nationalparks.org/connect/goparks-newsletter.
